Broadlands was my first hostel in chennai. I was greeted with bed bugs (see picture), poor service. They tried to sell us over priced bus ticket for Bengalore (about 2x higher then normal rate). And finally they cut out our electricity 2 hours before final checkout time. And be aware the hostel is right next to a muslin mosque, I know they can't do nothing about it but that means 12am and 5am loud prayer for you.
