Bed bug reports

Confirmed Google Maps
I do not recommended staying here. This was my mattress and this was not the first time they had heard of the hostel having bed bugs as there were reviews online earlier with the same issue. They’re not taking this issue seriously. This hostel needs a lot more care as it’s in a great spot.

Found 2 bed bugs in my bed when I was going to sleep. They said they haven’t heard of bed bugs for three years, hopefully it’s a isolated case. They tried convincing me it was not bed bugs, but I wouldn’t risk it. They gave me my money back at least. Here are the pictures also.
Vibe Analysis
Top view is a simple Durres base with its best energy on the rooftop. The terrace is the main hangout: a place for drinks, sea views when visibility and surrounding buildings allow it, and easy social time in busier months. There is also a workout area up there, which gives the place a practical little bonus beyond the usual hostel roof setup. The location works well for beach-and-city days, with the beach, restaurants, shops, supermarket, and central Durres generally reachable on foot. It can feel quiet while still being close enough to the action, though the walk from transport is longer and the approach can be uphill with bags. Rooms and bathrooms can be spacious, and the better beds are comfortable, with some curtains and air conditioning in dorms. Kitchen access, living space, water dispensers, laundry, and private parking may be available, depending on the setup booked. Staff support can be a real plus, especially for practical Durres orientation. The tradeoff is consistency. Top view can feel warm, social, and good-value in the right season, but cleanliness, lockers, room assignment, hot water, and the actual hostel vibe have been uneven. Off-season can be very quiet, with the bar closed and little social activity.
Signals to check
- Cleanliness has been inconsistent, especially in bathrooms and shared areas.
- The walk from public transport can be long, uphill, and awkward with luggage.
- Lockers, keys, and room privacy may not be reliable in every dorm setup.
- The social scene seems seasonal; off-season can be very quiet and the bar may be closed.
- Free breakfast may not actually be available, even if listed elsewhere.
- Hot water and bathroom supplies may be inconsistent.
