Dorms didn’t lock, sheets were not clean, wasn’t given the code to enter building, wifi did not work. Unfortunately would not recommend, especially for a solo female traveller.

Full reviewI had an incredible stay at La Luna Hostel! The host Henry & the volunteers were super accommodating and helpful. They helped us see Bodrum & Henry even took us for a night out at the beach bar in Gumusluk. However, the actual hostel itself was lowkey run down. I had no A/C, the room light didn’t work & my door didn’t lock… this aside the atmosphere is incredible and it felt like a little family, even though I only stayed two nights. I’ll definitely be back 🩷

Full reviewI have a problem : I was victim of a scam. Le Luna Hostel charged me over 6000 lira even though I didn’t stay there. I had booked a room for two people (I received a mail for proof), but when I arrived at the hostel, it was a single bed for one. Because of this, I realized I had been scammed and decided not to stay there at all — not even for one night. Despite that, they still charged me over 6000 Turkish lira, even though they had already taken a deposit beforehand.

Full reviewOverall, I had a good stay here. I don't love Bodrum personally, but met some cool people at the hostel. Facilities were somewhat clean but the shower could use some attention. Also, there are no locks anywhere except the front door. People could easily walk into my room and take my stuff if they wanted (no lockers either). Maybe its different in other rooms, but that was the case for my room!

Vibe Analysis
The rooftop bar and patio are the clearest La Luna thing: a social perch for drinks, lounging, chatting, laptop time, occasional DJ sets, and views toward Bodrum Castle. It can turn into a proper hangout spot, with rooftop dancing, shared drinks, and easy balcony time when the hostel has the right crowd. This is a small, family-run hostel in central Bodrum, close to the marina, beach, restaurants, bars, bus station, and castle. Sabahat, Henry, and the volunteer crew can make the place feel personal rather than polished, with local tips, beach days, nights out, communal dinners, and a loose home-style atmosphere. Rooms can be clean and comfortable, with air conditioning working well in dorms at times, but the setup is basic and uneven. La Luna fits best if location, social energy, and host personality matter more than hotel-level facilities, privacy, or quiet. Off season can be very quiet; high season can be much more lively and loud.
