Lushy Hostel Kintamani
Vibe Analysis
Free kayaks and paddle boards put Lake Batur right into the stay, not just in the view. This is a lakeside Kintamani base with mountain scenery, a pool, a warm jacuzzi or hot pool, billiards, karaoke, and enough on-site food and drink to stay put after a Mount Batur mission. The dorm setup seems new, clean, and comfortable: roomy beds, curtains, lights, power, backpack space, and plenty of shared bathrooms with hot water. The team is a major part of the feel here, with a young, warm, name-remembering style that can make the place feel personal fast. The mood is more relaxed-lakeside than full-chaos party, especially when occupancy is low, but there are still social bits: card games, pool, karaoke, fishing, lake time, and volcano tours arranged through the hostel. It works best for a short Kintamani stay, a Mount Batur sunrise launchpad, or a quiet few days with scenery doing most of the heavy lifting.
Signals to check
- Flies can be heavy around the lake and farmland, especially during the day and around outdoor areas.
- The location is remote. A scooter or planned transport matters, and ride-hailing may be unreliable or expensive.
- Food, towels, tours, and transport can add costs; Mount Batur tours may be cheaper through agencies nearby.
- Rooms can be sound-leaky, music may run loud, and the atmosphere can feel quiet when occupancy is low.
- Outside food may be restricted, and luggage security or hooks may be limited in parts of the dorm setup.
