The room was not at all clean. The bedsheets and pillows were stinking. The bathroom wasn't clean. The bath tub was broken and stained. Staff was asked to clean the bathroom. They dint even bother to do it. The rug on the floor looked like it wasnt vacuumed in years. One of the staff dint even have the courtesy to look at you when he was talking. He was on his mobile phone the whole time. There was one single tea bag complimentary in the room. Even that was kept open and looked like it was there for days. Room was infested with cockroaches. Thankfully and surprisingly there were no bedbugs. The place is advertised as cheap. That does not mean they offer customers a dump of a place. The kitchen was not clean either. The pics posted give a completely different image of the place than wat it actually is.

I stayed at Moustache Delhi for 2 nights. After spending just one night there, I woke up the next morning with red marks and rashes all over my body. Suspecting something was wrong, I checked the pillow and bedsheet and found bed bugs (khatmal). When I inspected the bed more carefully, I discovered a large number of bed bugs hiding in the mattress and bedding. The guest staying in the lower bunk experienced the same issue and was unable to sleep properly throughout the night because of the bed bug infestation. I immediately reported the problem to the reception and requested a room change. However, I was told that the property was sold out and that they could only change the bedsheets. Being sold out is not the customer’s problem. The management should have arranged an alternative room or provided a proper solution. As it was late at night and I had no immediate option to move elsewhere, I have to stay for the second night. It was a terrible experience. My entire body was covered with bed bug bites, causing severe itching, discomfort, and loss of sleep. Even after making a formal complaint the next morning, no member of the management team came to meet me, apologize, or address the issue seriously. This is not just a matter of poor service, it is a serious health and hygiene concern. Guests are paying for a safe and clean stay, but the conditions I experienced were completely unacceptable. Even today, I am feeling unwell and have developed a fever, which may be related to the numerous bed bug bites and lack of proper rest. I have photos, videos, and other evidence of the bed bug infestation, all of which I shared with the reception staff. Despite having proof, the issue was not handled professionally. I strongly advise fellow backpackers and travelers to think twice before booking a stay at Moustache Delhi. Cleanliness, hygiene, guest safety, and proper customer support appear to be severely lacking, and my experience was one of the worst I have had while traveling.
