Unfortunately on my stay i encountered bed bugs which wasn’t ideal. I couldn’t find any staff at night to alert so had to sleep it out

Vibe Analysis
Cool Vibes Beach Hostel is built around a huge shared kitchen: clean, practical, and unusually well equipped, with multiple stoves, more than one fridge, free morning coffee or tea, and enough space to cook properly instead of hovering over one sad burner. The location is the other main hook. The beach is across the road or a very short walk away, with Dominical surf close by, restaurants, a bus stop, and a large supermarket reachable on foot. Surfboards can be rented on site, and there is a place to rinse and store boards after the beach. The social setup is relaxed rather than wild: a leafy courtyard, hammocks, sofas, rooftop or terrace areas, TV/lounge space, and a small pool or jacuzzi-sized pool for cooling down. The crowd can skew surfy and backpacker, with an easy-meeting atmosphere at its best, though it is not always a party scene and can also feel family-friendly or quiet depending on the night. Rooms are usually simple and spacious enough, with private bathrooms in certain dorms and daily cleaning in parts of the property. Staff can be warm and helpful with check-in, transport, tide times, bus info, drivers, and local suggestions.

- Dorm comfort is uneven: wobbly bunks, old mattresses, weak pillows, limited outlets, no bed curtains, and not enough hooks or drying space may be an issue.
- Humidity, musty bathroom smells, mosquitoes, bugs, geckos, roaches, and occasional bed bug complaints can happen in rougher experiences.
- The pool is small and may not always feel clean or available when families with kids are using it.
