CHE Playa Hostel & Bar is a central Playa del Carmen party base a couple blocks from Fifth Avenue, with the beach, bars, clubs, restaurants, ADO station, and ferry area within easy walking distance. The stronger version of this place is rooftop-led: bar, small pool, music, pizza night, salsa classes, karaoke, games, margaritas, and a setup that can make it easy to meet others when the crowd is there. The rooftop is the practical headline here. It gives the hostel its social engine and a place to hang out above the street, but it also drives the main tradeoff: music and chair-dragging can carry hard into nearby dorms, especially rooms under the bar, sometimes until 1-3am and even again during morning setup.
