Stayokay Gorssel - Deventer
Vibe Analysis
The former Norwegian hunting lodge gives Stayokay Gorssel - Deventer its character: breakfast, dining, a bar, sitting areas and a playroom gather around a building that feels more special than the simple sleeping blocks. Outside, this is strongest for families. The hostel sits in a quiet green setting near fields, forest and farm edges, with playground space, garden seating, room to roam, and bike rental available. It can feel calm and secluded rather than city-social. The wikkelhouses are the standout sleep option: compact wooden tiny houses, sometimes with meadow or forest-edge views through a large glass side. Standard rooms are more basic hostel territory, with bunk beds, thin walls in places, and a practical rather than plush setup. Staff are usually friendly, and breakfast is often good, though food service is not fully predictable. This place works best for families, groups, and low-key nature breaks, especially if the main draw is the setting and the unusual lodge-and-cabin layout.
