Vibe Analysis
The castle wall is right next to this hostel, and that is the clearest reason to care: Bellinzona’s old town, fortress views, and lit-up castle scenery are close enough to shape the whole stay. The building itself is old, large, and a bit retro, with high ceilings, big rooms in places, an old-school dining hall, lounges on the floors, books, games, films, and foosball. It can feel more like a youth-hostel institution than a polished hotel, but the setting has character.
