West Highland Lodge is a basic bunkhouse-style stop in Kinlochleven, set up the hill with strong mountain and village views. It works best as a practical West Highland Way crash pad: self-catering kitchen, dining space, lounge, hot showers, and a dry room are part of the setup. The kitchen is one of the steadier wins here, with enough kit for cooking after a hike, and the lounge gives groups somewhere to decompress. Some rooms are clean, warm, and simple, with bunk beds and a no-frills layout rather than hotel comfort. The tradeoff is that the lodge can feel rough around the edges.
