Buttermilk Lodge is more self-catering apartment base than party hostel: spacious, spotless, quiet, and set a short walk from Clifden's pubs, shops, and center. It works best for travelers who want Connemara days out, easy evenings in town, and a kitchen that actually lets them cook. The standout is the arrival setup. Homemade brown bread and fruit cake are a clear signature, usually joined by milk, juice, butter, jam, cereal, tea, coffee, and basic condiments. That changes the first morning: less logistics, more breakfast in a warm apartment before heading for Sky Road, Diamond Hill, beaches, or Connemara National Park.
