Hotel company lost my personal data in a data breach. When they informed me, I requested to cancel my reservation. They refused, but I still didn't stay with them. I was sent multiple emails asking to leave a review despite not staying there and when I did, they left a very rude response (see photo) then removed my review. I can't comment on the room or location, but they are not the kind of people I would want to support if it were me. EDITED BELOW FOR RESPONSE: Based on your response, as well as all the other piss poor reviews you've received that you weren't able to delete like the Booking.com review, it seems like Guesthouse Lugano is the keyboard hero hiding behind their screen... Out of the 8 hotels I shared my info with on this trip, you are the only one who lost my data. I have no complaint about sharing my data with you, it was you inability to protect that data. If you hadn't emailed me 4 times asking when I would arrive after I informed you I was canceling my reservation, I would have dropped it after the fist time I requested cancellation when you refused to administer a refund. If you were a bit smarter you would have canceled and rebooked the room to make twice the money! They offer classes on customer service, maybe spend your time on that rather than arguing with strangers? Good luck and good riddance, glad I didn't stay at your property and risk the bedbugs I see mentioned other reviews now that I took the time to dig into the 4 start rating.

Che dire, abbiamo trovato le CIMICI DA LETTO in camera. La mattina abbiamo segnalato quanto riportato, ci hanno risposto che avrebbero verificato dicendo “strano, in questa stanza non ci è mai arrivata una segnalazione” (ah quindi nelle altre si?). Ci svegliamo con i pizzichi, ma come se tutto ciò non bastasse, al ritorno ci ritroviamo una cimice da letto nella giacca! (Nonostante avessimo passato TUTTI i vestiti con il phon bollente, valigie etc!…immaginate quanto potesse essere infestato!) Abbiamo chiesto il rimborso, non ne hanno voluto sapere! Purtroppo solo al ritorno abbiamo potuto vedere tra le altre recensioni segnalazioni analoghe! (La loro prevalente risposta è che è il cliente a portarle, ma siamo seri?! Tutti i clienti portano le cimici?! INACCETTABILE) Le cimici da letto sono PERICOLOSISSIME e la struttura è stata totalmente non curante di questo grande problema che hanno. Un rimborso È IL TRATTAMENTO MINIMO che si possa fare per un disagio del genere! No comment

This hotel has bed bugs and are not doing anything about it. Not even responding to our requests. Stay away for your own sakes!
