Despite the 'deals', food & drink in the pub is expensive. After a long day out, I returned to my room to find that someone had messed around with my stuff. My towel (bought from downstairs for a whopping £7.49)& duvet were both missing. I also appeared to have inherited an extra pillow. I moved to another room & was given a bed bug ridden berth. Covered in several red bites, I swapped beds & finally got some rest. Tips; Bring a towel Eat elsewhere Check bedding for bugs Keep a close eye on your belongings

An excellent hostel perfectly positioned near Euston. No bed bugs, a problem in some hostels. Clean and comfortable and safe.

This hostel and others in the PubLove chain are to be avoided at all costs, due to PubLove’s extremely poor customer service policies including to a bed bug infestation, and the guaranteed bad night’s sleep you will get. I stayed as part of a group in a private 8 bed dorm with shared bathroom. The room was poorly ventilated so very hot, had no sound proofing so every time anyone in another room opened a door we all woke up, was dirty, cramped and on the third day one of us had leg bites and we discovered a large adult bed bug. We then checked the room thoroughly and found white powder had been spread along the skirting boards, typical treatment for bed bugs indicating a well established bug infestation. We had booked for 4 nights and left on day 3. We were told the PubLove policy is no reimbursement or compensation on discovering bed bugs, despite the very unpleasant effect on us and very obvious prior knowledge of the management that the hostel was infested. Despicable and dishonest.

Our four-night stay was cut short to three nights when we discovered a bedbug. The hostel management refused any compensation. Their response was to inexplicably blame us for the bedbug, even after revealing they'd experienced bedbug problems before. The incident wasted half a day as we scrambled to secure different accommodation for our last night. Adding to our troubles, we then faced the burden of transporting potentially infested belongings back home. Steer clear of this hostel!

A good central hostel (convenient for me). Clean (no bedbugs - a regular problem in some hostels). Decent facilities and friendly efficient staff. No complaints

Many issues during our stay: -BED BUGS!! When we left the hostel, they immediately put new guests in our room without even properly cleaning it! -The staff was extremely unwelcoming -The rooms had very small windows — with 9 people inside, it was really not acceptable -No furniture in the bathroom to put your personal items On the positive side: -Good breakfast -The location is convenient -The pub was decent

Bed bugs. Don't go in this place. We said it to the boss. He totally don't care about it.

It doesn’t have a kitchen so you cannot warm your food. The bar downstairs serves as a common space. The hygiene in this place is terrible, definitely the worst I have ever experienced. I have been solo traveling for many years all over the world and I stay in hostels most of the time. But for the very first time, I got bed bug bites. It happened at this place on my first night stay. The hostel refunded me but I had to book a new accommodation at the last minute. I emailed the head of the hostel complaining about the hygiene issues but didn’t receive any response.

Good stuff, good location

Bed bugs and unequipped bathrooms. I had sores on my body for weeks after. I tried emailing them to let them know and fix the problem but they didn’t even reply to me.

Not a bad place and excellently situated for me. Could walk to destination. Time to upgrade the beds with curtains to give a little more privacy. No bedbugs. Individual lights and USB charging sockets would be good, but bathrooms spacious unlike in some hostels. Recommended if you just want to sleep there. Pub downstairs genial.

The staff was very friendly, but we had some concerns during our stay. We encountered issues with bed bugs, a non guest sleeping in the shower and a 40+ year old roomate whose staring made us uncomfortable. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was also lacking. Additionally, we were not informed that a padlock was needed for the lockers. Thank you for the hospitality, but I believe the property could use some improvement.

The hostel wasn’t clean and overall looked unhygienic. Also, I don’t know if they had bed bugs or fleas but I have insect marks all over my body now.

I got multiple bed bug bites which required medical attention.
