Siliguri · India
Thikana by Mulaqat
Vibe Analysis
Safar by Mulaqat, the hostel's own travel arm, is the standout here. It can help set up tours, transport, cabs, scooty rentals, early tuktuks to the station, and route advice for Darjeeling, Sikkim, Gangtok, treks, flights, and train connections. Thikana by Mulaqat is a clean, comfortable Siliguri base with a central but calmer position inside the city chaos. The dorms are tidy and spacious, beds are comfortable, curtains are available, AC and Wi-Fi work well, and the bathrooms have basic amenities. The common area is cozy and cute, with a small, calm feel rather than a party-hostel pulse. There is an in-house cafe with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, plus a practical dining area for slower mornings or laptop time. Staff are warm, organized, and useful with local logistics, which makes the hostel especially strong as a transit stop between buses, treks, flights, trains, and mountain routes.
