  3. Confirmed Booking.com

    Extremely dirty and has bedbugs.

  4. Confirmed Hostelworld

Bed bugs. Discovered them on the sheet and walls the night of our last stay. Had to leave and get a new hotel and the hostel wouldn’t even refund us for any of the trip! Not to mention it was in the middle of the night and since the hostel was “non-refundable” I was told there was nothing they could do. Don’t stay here.

Warning London Bed Bugs Mix Big Hostels, Budget Hotels, and Wider City Spread London has concrete hostel and budget-hotel cases, but council guidance and pest-control data make this a wider city problem too.

Vibe Analysis

St Christopher's Inn London Bridge - The Inn is a central London pub-hostel first and a sleep machine second. The draw is practical: London Bridge, Borough Market, tube links, a Tesco, tourist walks, bar food, breakfast, and a price/location combo that can work when the mission is simply getting a bed near the action. It fits night owls better than early sleepers. Live music, pub energy, and a downstairs crowd are part of the deal, so this makes more sense as a cheap crash pad for nightlife than as a calm base for recovery mode. Staff can be kind and helpful, and the food can land well, but the room setup stays basic. Rooms are often warm, stuffy, cramped, or thin on comfort, and proper common space outside the pub is limited. Bathrooms are functional but uneven: small shower spaces, shared-floor pressure, missing soap or broken latches can show up. This is convenient London infrastructure with a noisy pub attached, not a quiet hostel for early sleep or laptop monk mode.
