Bed bug reports

Location is great, met some lovely people but unfortunately woke up covered in bed bug bites...

There were bedbugs in one of the beds in my bedroom. Once we notified the staff they changed the bedsheets.

Nice place, bathrooms can be alittle awkward with multiple people but the bedrooms are great. With that said I got really badly bitten with bed bugs or something in the only night we stayed. My travel buddy was fine but it is quite terrible. I think it’s a unforeseeable incident, but it is memorably bad.

Vibe Analysis
Attic Hostel Torino sits high up near Porta Nuova, with city-rooftop views from some rooms and the shared living area. That top-floor setting is a real part of the charm: bright windows, a vintage-home feel, and a small common space that works for coffee, chats, games, and low-key evenings. The location is the easy win here: central Turin, close to Via Roma, the train station, metro, airport bus stops, shops, cafes, restaurants, and major sights. The hostel itself is small, clean, and organized, with a well-equipped kitchen, lockers, Wi-Fi, air conditioning in some rooms, and clear arrival instructions. This is more cozy apartment than party machine. The living room and kitchen can be good for meeting people, especially when the place has a bit of traffic, but it can also feel quiet or thin on social energy. Staff can be warm, helpful, and full of local tips, though the style around rules and checkout can feel strict.
Signals to check
- Rooms may need to be vacated during late-morning cleaning hours, and checkout timing can be enforced sharply.
- Staff interactions can be inconsistent; some experiences feel very welcoming, others feel abrupt or rude.
- Bathrooms and storage space can be small, and a few areas may feel basic for the price.
- Towels, locks, late check-in, coffee pods, or child supplements may cost extra depending on the booking.
- There is no breakfast, and shower toiletries may not be provided.
- Summer heat and air-conditioning limits have been a problem before.
- Older cleanliness complaints include bugs or bites, so check recent conditions if that is a dealbreaker.
