Limpieza mejorable. Me picaron chinches de la cama, no sé si fue la manta que capaz no la lavan entre un huésped y otro… en general edificio muy viejo. Los baños super incómodos, estrechos, no hay una verdadera puerta y se escucha todo, cero privacidad. Si acabas el camino recomiendo ir a otro lugar más acogedor, limpio y nuevo

Vibe Analysis
Meiga Backpackers is a colorful, social hostel a little outside Santiago de Compostela’s main square, usually around 15-20 minutes on foot from the cathedral area. The garden is the main win: hammocks, a big outdoor table, and a barbecue make it a proper recovery zone after the Camino, with enough space to eat, chill, and drift into conversation without forced party-hostel energy. Inside, there is a large common room, a well-equipped kitchen, and two guitars that can actually change the mood of the place for musicians and solo travelers. Staff are often warm and helpful, and the hostel can feel cozy and communal. The tradeoff is that the building feels old and uneven: bathrooms are very small, mixed, short on privacy, and limited for the number of beds, while cleanliness and maintenance can be hit-or-miss.
