they had bedbugs and there seemed to be no urgency from staff in dealing with the issue?

Sadly I got bedbugs from my stay here. Which really clouded my experience as it was honestly horrible and so so itchy. I would not stay again due to the bed bugs

BED BUGS, noisy, small lockers, don't book!

So-so, I didn't feel bad, but there are some things that could be improved, the cleaning isn't the best, luckily I didn't find bed bugs or anything similar, but the sheets had holes and the rooms were never cleaned, even the kitchen floor was really dirty. I've seen the cleaning ladies clean the bathrooms and showers and the main floors, but never the rooms. It's very noisy if you keep the windows of the rooms open, have an eye mask and earplugs, and you'll sleep well. There are codes for everything, which can be difficult but gives you the freedom to stay even after checking out and even take a shower, which is not bad

Zona in comune e cucina deludenti.

bed bugs and cold showers! stayed here for two nights. on the first night the hot water stopped working (for context, it was winter and extremely cold outside). on the second night, i woke up with four bites down my arm. do not stay here if u value your sanity or your health. the location was the only redeemable part

If I could rate this place a negative amount of stars I would. Extremely filthy, BED BUGS DO NOT STAY! Showers were beyond disgusting .

Worst hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Absolutely filthy hallways, rooms, bathrooms, and beds. Major sanitation issue. Found hairs on the bed even though staff claimed it was “cleaned.” Half the lights in the room didn’t work, some bathrooms didn’t even have lights, and the provided fan was broken. They also ran out of towels to rent so we couldn’t shower. The place felt unsafe, the staff was unhelpful, and I left after one night because it wasn’t worth risking bed bugs (other reviews mention them and the beds look filthy). The only good thing is the location — but there are plenty of much better hostels within a 5-minute walk for the same price. I would not recommend this hostel to anybody. If you value basic cleanliness, safety, or comfort, stay literally anywhere else.

Bed bugs - that's my experience there. I informed the owner who hasn't responded for like 1 week already. Besides the bed bugs, great location and nice staff, but that problem ruined my experience and I won't recommend the hostel to anyone.

Reception wasn’t 24/7; I was stuck outside at 1 am for 15 minutes when arriving. The hostel looks nothing like the photos: café gone, replaced by a tourist shop and a loud Irish pub blasting until 3 am. Inside, everything felt run-down, with holes in sheets. My roommate had bedbug bites, and staff downplayed it without warning new guests. The only positive is the central location.

Bed bugs and impossible to sleep I stayed at Best Spot Hostel in Prague and got bed bug bites all over my body. The receptionist saw them and confirmed they looked like bed bug bites. I emailed afterward asking for a refund, but they ignore my email. On top of that, the noise was horrific — loud music, people shouting and doors slamming until late at night. It was impossible to sleep. The location is central but next to an irish pub.. a very loud 24/7 Irish pub. Not recommended

Where to start…. This hostel isn’t as bad as the two star review might suggest but compared to other hostels I’ve been too, lots of small improvements could make it much better. We read reviews that they’re were bedbugs but luckily there actually weren’t. My bed was shit in comparison to the other ones in the room. It’s a party hotspot for drunk brits so don’t be surprised if someone starts taking the piss at 4am because they got their bed sprayed by a fire exctinguisher. The showers ran out of hot water mid stay Location is really good and central you are definitely close to everything. The centre of town is very touristy and loud tho so if you are looking for a more authentic experience this maybe isn’t the best for you. Beers are way more expensive in the neighbourhood than in the rest of the city. We had lockers in the room and generally the place felt safe. Voila I guess that’s all

BED BUGS. Stayed at the hostel for 2 nights. Came home to discover many clusters of bites on my legs and back. Very itchy. The location, however, is excellent. Staff were very helpful and nice.

There were bed bugs in some the hostels beds! The ones who got bit were moved to a hotel, but those who slept in the same room just got moved to a different one, even though a lot of the beds probably were infested. They even got downgraded to a 8 person dorm instead of the 6 person one they booked. They tried pleading with the receptionist but he was giving everyone an attitude and didn’t help at all. I ended up moving to a different hostel, cause bed bugs are no joke

Don't go unless you want to get bitten by bed bugs. Woke up covered in itchy bites.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Looks nothing like the hostel world advertisement. Furniture is chipped off and several reviews talk about bed bugs. You can’t use your own locks and there is a shared bathroom with hairs etc inside it. Not hygienic and does not feel safe. Had to leave to get a hotel + it’s very loud seeing as it’s right beside an irish pub. would avoid.

BED BUGS! AVOID! During my stay (room 301), I was a victim of bed bug bites, an issue I had never experienced before. That night was the only one I slept without socks, and I woke up with 34 bites in total, five of which were on my foot alone. It is evident that these bites occurred during my sleep in your facility, and certainly not while I was out exploring Prague, as they insinuated. I immediately reported the incident, but the management's behavior was unacceptable. After contacting them, they responded

Try and avoid this at any cost. Only good thing was the price, from the looks of it all the ratings are from robots and fake as it’s a very sketchy hostel where you are constantly up with people knocking on the door, throwing up and the doors don’t shut properly. Worst bit for me was the bed bugs in my bed which was the final straw

DO NOT GO THERE, the hotel wreaks the high hell, there are rats living in some of the shower rooms, and my friends mattress was full of bedbugs. Staff was very unfriendly and not helpful at all, initially stating that the last bedbug infestation in the hotel was months ago, and then immediately changing their statement to "the infested room is sealed off" when we brought up the issue at hand in more detail. Some of the staff members were extremely shady, and would roam the halls at odd hours in the night, further strengthening my belief that they are stealing from the guests when they sleep. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Super rundown hostel with poor facilities and really bad beds that makes you expect bed bugs. Squeaky beds and really rough edges everywhere. Absolutely not recommended. Cash only facilites and no advertisement of this.

We were sceptical before arriving, as the reviews on google mentioned rude staff, dirty rooms, lack of chargers, bedbugs and noise during the night, as the hostel is next to an irish pub. It was not as bad as we had been expecting. We stayed in an all-female four-bed room, which was clean enough and had chargers by each bed. A lot of noise during the night, but okay if you have earphones. We saw no signs of bedbugs. Not the best, but you get what you pay for.

Stayed here for three nights in late November. It seemed they were going through a renovation because the entry way was full of torn up carpets and beds… should’ve expected then to find a bed bug crawling out from my pillow that night. Got moved to another room but still anxious. Carpets seemed like the culprtit as they were disgusting. Seems like they were doing something to fix it though… Toilets and showers were decently clean. Kitchen could use some work but it was sufficient for a short stay as a tourist on a budget.

Stayed with a big group, great location indeed. Had the amazing surprise to find bedbugs in our room, manager didn't do anything about it, had to move out to another hostel + no hot water in the middle of november. Never going back to that place

There have been bed bug bites all over our bodies after two days. The managers didn't care enough to give us a refund even though they knew they had that problem since a while. Don't sleep there, especially not in the room 102. Also check the exchange rate in euro. They calculate with a rate of 29 which is far too expensive.

The only good thing about this hostel was the location...yes, the price was admittedly competitive with other hostels, but this fails to look over multiple shortcomings. Upon arrival, we were told how we had to have the exact change to pay for our room; they did not accept card, nor did they have a sufficient amount of cash to give us the correct amount of change. This seems exceptional for a hostel to not have change, knowing that tourists will show up with large bank notes having just received them from an ATM. Furthermore, in our booking of 9 people we were only given an 8 person room. The ninth 'bed' was a mattress on the floor, and we only received 20% off the price of that single bed! The men's showers barely had hot running water, and were tiny in comparison to the women's. Our friends, staying in another room, also had bed bugs! They were only compensated with the same 20% (for the one bed that had bed bugs), even though two of them had to share a bed - they were not offered a service of properly cleaning it or another bed in another room.

Vibe Analysis
Best Spot Hostel is in Prague Old Town, very close to the Astronomical Clock and main central streets. The location is the whole pitch: easy walking access, late check-in can work, and luggage storage may be available. Durty Nelly's Irish pub is next door, with karaoke and heavy street noise that can run until 3 or 4 AM. This can suit a budget trip built around going out, but it is a rough match for sleep, quiet, or a mellow solo atmosphere. The setup is basic and worn. Rooms can be cramped, hot, dark, and poorly ventilated, with old beds, thin or broken fittings, and a long code system for doors and lockers. A kitchen exists, and a few staff interactions can be helpful, but service is inconsistent. Bathrooms are a major weak spot: tiny toilets, awkward showers, unreliable hot water, push-button water, out-of-service facilities, and uneven cleaning all show up as real risks. Treat this as a cheap central bed with serious comfort and maintenance tradeoffs, not a social hostel with polish.
Signals to check
- Very loud street and pub noise can make sleep difficult until late night.
- Rooms may be hot, cramped, poorly ventilated, and uncomfortable.
- Bathrooms and showers can be tiny, poorly maintained, or not fully working.
- Cleanliness is inconsistent, with serious hygiene complaints including bed bugs.
- Lockers, door codes, staff support, and security can be unreliable.
