Wij kennen geen hostel en hebben ons best druk gemaakt over eventuele bedwantsen. Er lagen dekens op de bedden, maar geen lakens. Voor de volgende keer weten we dit. Het personeel was super en heeft ons goed geholpen!

Vibe Analysis
A real castle setting is the hook at Stayokay Heemskerk. The building, garden, courtyard and green surroundings give it a novelty factor that works especially well for families or anyone who wants a simple bed in a strange old place instead of a normal city box. The hostel can feel clean, tidy and freshly refreshed, with friendly staff, simple food, a bar with good beers, and breakfast that ranges from decent to basic depending on expectations. Some dorm setups are practical, including an 8-person room with two showers and two toilets. This is still a youth-hostel-style setup rather than a castle hotel. Rooms are usually simple, sometimes small, and beds may need to be made and stripped by hand. Towels may cost extra, and shampoo or body wash should not be assumed. The social side seems uneven. The castle atmosphere, garden and kid-friendly bits can land well, but evenings may feel quiet or thin on common-room energy, and the play facilities may be tired.
