Guaruja Hostel has a pool area that seems to be the main win: good-looking, social, and easy to hang around when the beach plan gets rained out or you just want a low-effort reset. There are common areas, hammocks, a TV room, billiards, a shared kitchen, and a small food setup with snacks or portions available at least at times. The location works well for Enseada if you want beach access plus everyday logistics nearby: markets, pharmacies, restaurants, bars, a Subway, an Oxxo, and a main avenue are all part of the practical map. The beach is walkable for some, but the route can feel less smooth because of distance, road works, a busy avenue, or a tricky crossing. The mood is mixed but not dead. It can be cozy, pretty, and good for meeting people in shared rooms, with staff that are frequently warm and helpful. It also has a rougher side: rooms can be small, dark, hot, old, or poorly ventilated, and cleanliness has been inconsistent in bathrooms, bedding, kitchens, fridges, and the pool. Breakfast exists and can be good, simple, or complete, but it is not a guaranteed buffet flex. Refill, variety, stale bread, limited options, and weak drinks have been recurring weak spots, especially later in the morning or across longer stays.
