Surf lessons, boogie boards, bonfires, pupusa-making, happy hour, yoga mats, and the resident dog Pitufo add little sparks, but the default mode is sun, pool, beach, book, nap, repeat. Staff can be very warm and helpful, though the service mood seems less consistent than the scenery.
