I'm not sure what happened, but the first night I had a lot of welts on my skin, although they weren't from mosquitoes. I also slept in pants, but all the bites were on my legs. I don't want to think that they don't clean properly, or worse, that there are bedbugs.

La Brisa Loca is built more like a Cartagena party machine than a quiet crash pad. The rooftop, bar energy, city-center location, pool access, breakfast, and big mixed crowd come through clearly; if the mission is to stay close to the action and roll straight into music, drinks, and late nights, this place fits. The tradeoff is not subtle. It can feel closer to a club with beds than a classic hostel, with music carrying into rooms late and several rules around outside alcohol, visitors, towels, and bar use.
