Unfortunately, the beds resp. the containers are not comfortable at all. I hate to give this place such a low rating, because, as mentioned, Emma is great! But the matresses are old and/or cheap (I spent two nights on two different mattresses). I could feel every single spring. The second night it was so hot and sticky in the container that I hardly slept. There is no window, so no was to get fresh air - with 6 people in one room. Not great. Plus, I had a bed bug eating me alive. I got about 40 bites that were ichy for days and still visible after a week. It was very, very unpleasant. The way this was handled wasn’t great. At the end, I need a good night‘s sleep and I didn’t get it there.

Vibe Analysis
Adventure Inn Marahau is a relaxed base near Abel Tasman National Park, the beach, and the water taxi pickup. It feels suited to a few days of walking, kayaking, and slowing down rather than late nights. Some rooms have bed lights and plug sockets, and the whole setup can feel very social without being rowdy.
