breakfasts are awful and rooms have bed bugs

Dirty and filthy with blackmold in the bathrooms that doesent even have a door. These rooms hasn’t been cleaned properly in a long time. The beds are made out of a wooden slab and a mattress. It is also infected with bed bugs.

Les chambres sont insalubres, punaises de lit non traité. Service indigne d'un établissement d'hébergement. N'envoyez surtout pas vos enfants là bas pour un séjour sous risque de voir votre logement contaminé par la suite.

Attention chambres infestées de punaises de lit. Hygiène déplorable la direction n'en a rien à faire : à fuir.

EVITEZ A TOUT PRIX ! c'était hyper sale (les salles de bain donnait envie de vomir) en plus il y avait des punaises de lit, le service client était atroce Par pitié n'allez jamais la bas

The location is fair. However, room is dirty. Hallways are full of urine smell. And what worst is BED BUGS. My group stayed their 2 nights from November 10 to 12, and the checkout morning, my friend and I found bites all over our body. This is most terrible place I have been to!

I received flea bites all over following my stay- it seems there were fleas or bed bugs in my dorm loft? Unfortunately I have small bites all over my arms and legs.

I was bitten by bed bugs and found actual bugs in the bed with plenty of photos. The hostel owner refused a refund, told me I was lying, made me wait 4 hours while his “inspectors” came (they were 3 teenage boys who worked for the hotel painting the walls, etc., not pest control) just for them to say they saw nothing and not let me in the room for the inspection and not let me show them exactly where I found them, and did nothing to check the rest of the room or warn anyone else. Don’t stay here or if you do get travel insurance and only pay with a credit card. Had to get another hotel last minute on a friday night, and have thrown out my suitcase and half my clothes. No help from the hostel with anything.

The room was infested with bed bugs, which caused severe bites and discomfort. I also found a spider next to my bed. Cleanliness was unacceptable, and the management was unresponsive even after I raised the issue with proof and photos. The stay was extremely disappointing and stressful.

La première chambre à l’auberge Fauconnier était une bonne chambre. On m’a changé d’auberge la deuxième nuit, j’ai eu des problèmes avec un des gardiens quand j’ai voulu récupérer ma valise pour changer d’auberge. Au Fourcy, la deuxième chambre n’était pas bonne : l’espace était très petit, il y avait une fenêtre mais pas de ventilation, et le lit que j’ai eu avait des punaises de lit. J’ai demandé à changer de chambre et celle qu’on m’a donnée ensuite était un peu meilleure.

The toilet was outside the block and it made it difficult to use it at night as one had to carry a card to get back in or risk being locked out. The real problem was that when I got back - a day earlier even though I had paid for three nights, but I was called back - I brought with me bed bugs! I could only have got them at the hostel.

Great atmosphere for a calm and quiet place, in my experience. The staff were friendly. No bedbugs and beds were arranged well (not bunk beds in the female dorm), which made a quieter time. Breakfast was suboptimal with cheap, fake orange juice, sugary cereals, and sweet loaves that an American child would be happy to have. No laundry which is a shame. Great location.

Es handelt sich um eine einfache Herberge in einem historischen Gemäuer. Die Lage ist genial, fast direkt an den Seine-Insel und ideal, um die Stadt zu Fuß oder mit dem Schiff zu erkunden. Auch die U Saint Paul ist nur ein paar Schritte entfernt. Dort gibt es zahlreiche kleine Lebensmittelgeschäfte etc. Die Anbindung an die Fernbahnhöfe Gare du Nord und Gare de l'Est ist sehr gut. Es gibt eine kostenlose Gepäckaufbewahrung mit Schließfächern für Wertgegenstände. Die Menschen am Empfang und bei Frühstücksservice waren sehr freundlich und alles wirkte gut organisiert. Unser Zimmer war wie erwartet einfach, aber sauber (zur Erleichterung meines Sohns ohne Bettwanzen ;-) Toll war die Raumhöhe, viel Luft für wenige Quadratmeter. Was mich gestört hat: Die zwei getrennten Betten waren nur ca. 180 cm lang und ziemlich schmal, also nichts für große Personen. Die Matratzen waren einfach, das Bad überraschend groß. Der Bewegungsmelder statt Lichtschalter im Bad war nervig (die Tür musste immer komplett geschlossen sein, wenn das Licht nicht ständig angehen sollte). Unter unserem Fenster war eine kleinere Straße mit doch recht viel Verkehr nachts (bei wenig geräuschdämmenden Fenstern). Ich hätte 4 Sterne vergeben, wenn das Frühstück (im sehenswerten Gewölbekeller) nicht gewesen wäre. Dieses verdient aus meiner Sicht diese Bezeichnung nicht. Es war extrem ungesund (süß, fettig, künstlich - ohne Alternativen), gab nicht mal Teller und nichts, was irgendwie darauf hingedeutet hätte, dass wir uns in Paris befanden. Wir sind dann lieber um die Ecke zu einem wunderbaren Bäcker gegangen. Leider gibt es auch keine Gemeinschaftsküche, in der man sich selbst etwas zubereiten und dabei andere Reisende kennenlernen könnte. Insgesamt für eine Nacht völlig in Ordnung und vermutlich auch vom Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis her, aber für einen längeren Aufenthalt würde ich es eher nicht empfehlen. Das hängt aber natürlich von den individuellen Prioritäten ab und vielleicht auch von dem Zimmer, das man bekommt.

I did not feel comfortable with the building and the availability of facilities. I also felt itching throughout my stay, which confirms the lack of cleanliness of the beds or perhaps the presence of bedbugs.

Cet auberge de jeunesse est petite et sale. Salle 208 donné deux membres de notre group des punaises de lits. Quelques autres les ont reçus dans autres chambres. Horrible.

This hostel is awful. I'm staying there right now and I have found it to be the worst hostel I have stayed in. The fact that the water closets are in the hall is not unexpected for a French hostel. The staff are rude and unhelpful. The food is not very good and if you stay for any length of time expect for your meals to repeat and for the same food to be recycled. Once a week they do have this chicken nugget type things that aren't bad. Expect unusually small portions. They charge you unreasonably for internet which you can only use in the courtyard...which is useless if it's raining and they get mad when you sit in the area inside for too long. The curfew is 1:00am every night. The guard leaves his poste at the door, which means he can't buzz you in if you're past 1. He will not be sitting at his desk again till 7am. If you come back in any way inebriated or if he even thinks you have been drinking he will threaten to refuse you entry. Some of the people I'm staying with claim to have bed bugs, I don't but I have seen some bites on people. The Marais is an amazing area, it's a pity that this hostel is so poorly run.
