Great hostel with daily tours, perfect for someone who doesn't want to rent a car while on the island (Pa'ia itself doesn't really have much of a nightlife, unfortunately). Our tour guide, Michael, was great at navigating the road to Hana and we made plenty of stops along the way. Overall, the vibe of the hostel was fairly laidback but if you're a solo traveler you'll have to make a little bit of an effort to befriend others who are traveling in groups. Laundry was a little overpriced ($3.50) but still great to have on site. Unfortunately I got bitten by bed bugs along my forearms from the girls dorm so that's why I'm only giving 4 stars.

The place is nice but some of the staff are rude what took the cake wasnt the bed bug bites but them being nasty to one of the locals. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone, never coming back to this place.

Vibe Analysis
Aloha Surf Hostel is a social, laid-back base in Paia with a strong community feel. It is close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and town, so walking around is easy.
