DissaPOINTing. Truly awful experience, worst I have ever been too. The bedroom smelt like fish (including bed sheets) the door/screen to the outside was wobbly and could have easily been broken into, the room had cockroaches and the walls so thin it was absolutely freezing. Bearing in mind all of this and the cost for a private room was 45 pounds we are disgusted. The staff were SO rude when dealing with complaints, unhelpful refused any discount and unhelpful . They only have high reviews as they ask every

WORST HOSTEL EVER -dorm room and bathroom was filthy with sheets not even changed -came back to a locked room at midnight and was pounding on the door because a male staff member was having sex in the dorm with a guest -wifi doesn’t work -no hot water -sheets were all way too small for the bed and everyone was just sleeping on the mattress -“party” was just loud music way too late with less than 10 people in the bar -super far from the main strip and surfing, stay somewhere better and closer PLEASE The only way I can imagine this place has such good reviews is because they give free drinks if you rate 10.

review section and I think its a bit suspicious
I normally don’t write reviews, but I think its good to be honest in this review section and I think its a bit suspicious to see only 10/10 ratings. We stayed at this hostel for 2 nights. The matrasses are gross! They had fungi and old blood stains on them. We noticed this since the sheets were to small for the bed. If you are up for little sleep and loads of party go here! If you want to catch some sleep bring earplugs. Location and breakfast were nice though, but there is no kitchen :(.

Vibe Analysis
The Point Mancora Beach is a loud, beach-facing party base: pool, sunset views, bar/restaurant energy, activities, and music are the whole proposition. It works best for travelers who want beach proximity, a social drinking setup, and do not mind the hostel running hot and messy. This is not a subtle Mancora hideout. Rooms can be noisy until around 3 a.m., mosquitoes and heat come up repeatedly, and serious bug complaints are part of the current picture. Come for the pool-and-party circuit; bring earplugs, insect strategy, and low expectations for sleep hygiene.
