AMAZING people, adventures, location and staff!!!! Unfortunately the room and bed smelt quite moldy and bed bugs were in the room next door :( Lowkey worth it though!

Base is in a good location and good if you want to party. People were partying in my dorm from 2-5am so don’t come if you wanna sleep. I’m also pretty sure that I’ve had my first ever bed bug experience here. My whole legs were covered after sleeping there.

Vibe Analysis
The location is the cleanest win: right by Ao Nang beach, close to longtail boats for Railay and nearby islands, and handy for the main tourist strip. Beds are often comfortable, the pool can be a useful hangout, and the staff energy is a major part of the place, with names like Nana, Tanya, Joy, Peter, Bella, Laurent, Brett, Mona, Gaby, Derron, and others tied to check-in help, activities, and making the hostel feel social fast. This is not a neutral hostel with a party option. It is a party hostel first, and sleep is a maybe. Music, bar noise, late dorm returns, drinking in rooms, room visits from staff or reps, and pressure to join paid events can be part of the deal. For solo travelers who want instant social momentum and do not mind chaos, it can work well. For anyone protecting an early ferry, a calm night, or basic quiet, the math is ugly. Rooms vary hard. Some dorms are clean, spacious, and have private bathrooms; others have had moldy or sewage smells, clogged showers, cockroaches, humid air, weak water pressure, leaking ceilings, see-through curtains, bad ventilation, and worn bathrooms. Bed assignment mix-ups, missing or moved belongings, limited late-night help, app/code room access, stairs without lifts, and security friction are also part of the risk profile here.
