Bed bug eggs & bugs!!! At first I thought I got the bites from another hostel because I didn’t see any bugs in the mattress itself but upon more inspection later I found eggs and a few live bugs all over the curtain. They were not helpful in the beginning. They told me they had a bed bug issue 2 weeks ago that they “resolved” And blamed me for the bugs. The baby goats that screamed all night outside my room were a big unpleasant surprise. Overall the hostel was not well maintained and dirty.

we (2 girls) arrived late at night by taxi and had booked the hostel for 3 nights. while coming close to the location our driver shared his concerns about the area. he told us to be very careful and not to go out at night. when we arrived we kindly asked the staff about the safety in the area and told them it’s our first time here in istanbul and we just have some concerns because our driver told us so. we weren’t unfriendly or rude, just genuinely caring about our own safety, which is more than normal and important as women in a foreign country. to our surprise the staff told us we can’t stay now because our expectations are too high and we bring negative energy and we should look for something else. they didn’t even try to understand us, make us feel comfortable or find a solution together, no, they immediately told us we could stay for this night but they will cancel the rest of our already paid nights since we don’t match the vibe. i’m not disappointed that we genuinely had to leave, but i’m really disappointed being kind of kicked out of this hostel for literally sharing safety concerns as women, which i do not find is a wrong thing to do (especially since the area actually seemed scetchy at night) not the most feminist behaviour tbh. the hostel does have potential and seems nice overall but sorry what is this behaviour. also got bed bugs in this one night!

Staff and people were very friendly and the place had a good atmosphere. However, the cleanliness was very very poor and I'm pretty sure I got bitten by bed bugs or something.

Whilst I had a wonderful time here I feel it's worth warning others that this hostel likley has a bedbug infestation. I wasn't bit but another guest was and a room mate messaged me to say they found one on their bed after I had left. I hate to leave a somewhat negative review but the hostel needs to do more to reduce the current infestation. The cleanliness of the place needs drastic improvement, unclean environments allow bedbugs to thrive unfortunately. Might be worth avoiding despite it been a really social and awesome place where I met lots of wonderful people!!!

Whilst i had a great time and the atmosphere was 10/10 I feel I should warn others about the possibility of bedbugs. The owner takes action when they are discovered, however a room mate sent me a msg after i left that they disocvered on in their bed. The room was far away from where one person was bitten during my stay but its seemingly now spread. I think the overall hostel cleanliness really really really needs some work which may help aleviate the bed bug problem 🤷‍♂️

The vibe of this hostel was very nice, the owner and staff were super friendly and nice to talk to. The location is also great, located right in the downtown region of Istanbul and easy to walk to. While the staff was so nice, I did just want to give a heads up to future travelers that my friend did unfortunately find bed bugs in her bunk. We notified the owner as soon as we saw that she had bites/saw the bugs, and he was very responsive and put a cover over her mattress, but of course still not ideal when

Big bed bug infestation here. The staff were kind and changed my bed, but there were even more bed bugs in the other bed. The person who slept on my bunk had tons of bites as well. Not fun, hope they fix this. Probably need a professional extermination of the whole place.

After my stay in this Hostel I am now completely contaminated with bed bugs…

Nice location but bed bugs!!

Hostel is okay. They care for a place to meet each other, cleaning and to have a tempered room. But there I got lice, bed bugs AND flea and I carried them home. Must not be a sign of bad hygienic standards but caused a lot of anger and trouble!
