Summer Hostel Koh Tao

We found bed bugs in one room. But the staff was really sweet about it! Refunded the money for the night and steamed and express washed all of our stuff and the room. But I will say for the price the hostel looked nice. Unfortunately I also saw a cockroach in the bathroom and the receptionist was mean to me. But apart from that the staff was very nice and the hostel was fine:)

I really wanted to give Summer a 5* review, and I was just one night away from doing so. My first 5 nights were perfect. The staff are friendly, Katie especially. The atmosphere is social but not a party. The rooms are good. But on my last night I woke up with a lot of bites in rows on my arms. There was also rustic stains on the sheets. These are two tell tale signs of bed bugs. Hopefully it gets sorted soon because I genuinely loved my stay here but I can’t bring myself to give it a 5* review because of the bed bugs, but equally, I don’t want to give it 1* either.

Unfortunately we had a less pleasant experience here. We had a private room with a private bathroom, but there was an awful odor coming from the sink. Our room was facing the street so it was noisy despite earplugs. The worst were the bed bug bites on my arms and legs.
