Bedbugs... The staff were super helpful and sympathetic in dealing with the consequences. Could happen to any hostel these days, but a&o were not willing to refund even part of my stay. Was also severely overpriced. Avoid!

Absolutely terrible. Quite noisy with stinky corridors. Worst of all I had bed bugs in my bed so I couldn’t sleep at all and left covered in bites. Reception staff was friendly but that did not help much at that point…

The bedsheets are not clean, and there are bed bugs in the mattress

Our room was full of bed bugs walking all over the beds. There were also several blood stains on the walls which hadn’t been cleaned, probably from previous ones. The day we left my back and legs were covered in super itchy bites. I was told that the information would be passed to the manager and I would receive an email from them but they never contacted us. We only got asked if we wanted something to drink as a compensation. Friendly staff and good location, but I would not recommend it.

I stayed here for 3 nights of my 4 nights booked in August 2023. The rooms were too warm even in the evenings and I got horribly bitten by bed bugs and decided to check out early. The staff were nice and helpful but at times they weren't enough workers. Good location though, very close to trams and a couple of good gay bars.

I’m pretty sure I got bit by bed bugs here. Hoping I didn’t bring any home with me. Otherwise it’s not a very social hostel but the facilities are nice and staff are helpful

This is easily the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. Let’s start with check-in. Stood at the desk for ages, and was then treated like I was an inconvenience. Bed had no sheet, pillow case, or blanket. Toiletries empty in the dorm room (and not once during the four days that I was there did any staff member come in to clean the room, let alone re-stock the toiletries - they were empty for two days). That lack of cleaning provided an experience with bed bugs, so that was great. Dorm room window barely opens, for “safety reasons”, causing the room to become violently overheated, while also retaining a smell that is similar to a locker room inside of a gymnasium. Main bathrooms were also empty of soap, and toilet paper. The location is fantastic, but for the price I paid vs. what I actually received, I would have probably had a better experience sleeping inside of the train station.

You get what you pay for. It's cheap and good for the price. I don't get their 'bring your own bedding' -policy. I've spend only 1,5 hours in bed (the party was more fun than I initially thought) and both my lower legs are covered in bed bug-/flee bites. It's really hard for any hotel/hostel to prevent those things, but include bedding in the price and forbid people to bring their own is a good way to start with. I never bring my own bedding to prevent bringing those kind of horrible creatures back home. And the rooms could use some ventilation especially since the heating is at full strength at night, imagine the smell/air quality when you go to bed in a 8-dorm at 7.40 in the morning... 😏
