Great location, really exceptional staff. Everything would have been perfect had I not woken up to a multitude of bed bug bites. Been staying in hostels for a month now no issues until I stayed here for one night.

Peguei bed bug, não recomendo. Não tive nenhum suporte do hostel em relação a isso.

  3. Confirmed Google Maps

The hostel was infested with bed bugs in not only the dorm room I slept in, but the reception lounge and also the stuffy basement lounge area, and yet the owner rudely tried to insinuate that I brought the bugs with me. The fact of the matter is that the bed bugs were also spotted by other guests before I arrived and on furniture upon which I never sat or touched. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with this poorly managed hostel and stay elsewhere in Verona that's CLEANER.

Vibe Analysis

Mercuzio the hostel cat is part of the house rhythm here, turning a clean Verona base into something warmer and more personal. The Hostello leans cozy and social without being full party-mode: a small garden, balconies in some rooms, 24/7 common space, a games/lounge area, and a kitchen that feels genuinely useful rather than decorative. The kitchen is a real strength: free tea, coffee, biscuits, shared pantry basics such as pasta, oil, spices, and a fridge for leftovers make self-catering easy, with a supermarket across the road. Rooms can be spacious, clean, air-conditioned, and arranged with lockers; some dorms have en-suite bathrooms, and coded doors add a sense of security inside the building. The location works best if a 10-20 minute walk into Verona feels fine. It is handy for the historic center, the river, buses, nearby bars and restaurants, and Porta Vescovo can be the smoother station choice. The mood is friendly, calm, and sometimes properly social, with staff who are strong on local tips and practical help.
