I only stayed there for a night but I must say: the "shared bathroom" was dirty, the room was really hot, a party went on until 2 or 3am so it was not easy to sleep (which is what I needed after a long travel) but the worst part is: bed bug bites !!! ALL OVER MY ARM AND BACK! I don't think it's worth the $50/night, barely 20....

From the bed bugs or whatever it is that eats your legs during the night and the location which is in the heart of Maui ghetto land, the place does not deserve a star. But, if you compare it to being left on the street in the rain, then it really does deserve one star.

This place was fun, went in early march 2013. Nice lounge that you can hang out with travelers from all over the world. Really fun Tours new one each day of the week that they offer for free on a first signup first served basis, it's recommended that you tip the driver. Hot tub, hammock, pool table. We stayed in a private room that was in good condition. No bed bugs, they also use Hepa bags on the mattresses. Only con: not within walking distance of nightlife or beaches, not much in this town anyways.

*** Bed Bugs *** I stayed there for two days in private room 14. Start from the second days we got bites by bed bugs. I email the manager complaining about this but they claimed that they have checked the bed and found no bug. It was really an unpleasant experience staying in this hostel and being itchy all days after bit by bed bugs. All the manager said is "we take this very seriously but we have not found any issues in this room" I don't see any reason not to rate this hostel scores other than 0.
