Accommodation Horizon

Accommodation Horizon is a rough, bare-bones budget stop in Zadar, mainly useful for a cheap bed near the bus station, beach, supermarkets, and the old town. The location is the real draw: the beach and bus terminal can be about 5-10 minutes away on foot, with the center around 15-20 minutes depending on pace. The outdoor yard is the main social asset. It can feel relaxed and local, with space to sit outside, eat a simple breakfast, meet other backpackers, and get tips from the owners. The owners are often warm, helpful, and flexible with bags, city advice, and basic requests. The hostel itself is very run-down. Cleanliness is a major risk across rooms, bathrooms, kitchen areas, bedding, fridges, floors, walls, and shared spaces. The kitchen may be unpleasant or unusable, with smells, mess, poor equipment, spoiled food in the fridge, and bathroom areas too close for comfort. Security and comfort are weak. Doors may be left open, room keys may not exist, lockers may be unreliable, and privacy can be poor because of open partitions or thin layouts. Beds can be squeaky, old, small, or uncomfortable, and heat, smoke smell, mold, broken fixtures, slow fans, construction areas, and noisy road conditions may all affect the night.
