Bed bug reports

Confirmed Google Maps
VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY. Bed bugs were found in the room, causing bites and disturbed sleep. No effective resolution was provided. Hygiene needs improvement. I would not recommend this property and would suggest others to avoid choosing it as a first option.

Vibe Analysis
Madpackers Jaipur's rooftop is the main character: a sunset perch, late-evening hangout, and easy social zone where travelers tend to find conversation without forcing it. It has city views, food and drinks at times, and a low-pressure backpacker mood that works especially well for solo travelers. The hostel sits in a very central Jaipur pocket, close to Hawa Mahal, City Palace, bazaars, restaurants, and transport for sightseeing. The activity calendar can include sunrise tours, sunset tours, street-food outings, Nahargarh trips, block-printing stops, movie nights, games, sports nights, and Bollywood-style nights, though availability can vary. The front desk team, especially Siddharth, Rom, Shubh, Payal, Reema, and Shubham, can be a major plus for city tips, trip planning, package help, and a welcoming check-in. Rooms are usually clean, affordable, compact, and comfortable, with comfortable beds, shelves or lights by beds in some dorms, cooled drinking water, laundry, murals, and a rooftop cafe or menu adding useful texture. This is a social, budget Jaipur base with real highs and a few sharp edges. It fits travelers who want central sightseeing, rooftop hangs, tours, and a backpacker scene more than silence, polish, or hotel-style consistency.
Signals to check
- AC in dorms may be limited by schedule or weak in hot weather.
- Cleanliness is uneven: bathrooms, floors, sheets, towels, and rooftop upkeep have had complaints, including one bed bug complaint.
- Rooftop music and hostel noise can run late or start early, so this is a poor fit for light sleepers.
- Advertised events, cafe service, postal service, room WiFi, hot water, locks, TV, and other amenities may be unavailable or inconsistent.
- Reception, security, late check-in, deposit return, and staff professionalism have been inconsistent.
- Some dorm beds lack curtains, hooks, or enough privacy; female dorm privacy has been a concern.
- The street outside can feel cramped, noisy, smelly, or chaotic, with drainage issues near the entrance.
