We Hostel Palma - Youth Hostel

Terrible place! I got beaten by bed bugs or some sort of insect. The place is dirty, poorly maintained and the staff is very rude! Specially the manager after I complained!

*WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE!!!* This was honestly the worst hostel experience of my life and I really want to warn anyone, especially solo travelers, before they book this place. I found bedbugs in my bed (photo below), which was already unacceptable, but things went downhill even further. Around 5 AM I was using the kitchen and the night staff member approached me in an extremely aggressive, rude and vulgar way. I immediately said I was completely fine with paying the 12€ night fee for using the kitchen, but instead of letting me pay he told me to pack my things and get out. He literally threw me out onto the street at 5 in the cold morning for using the kitchen. I’ve stayed in many hostels around the world and I’ve never experienced anything like this. After I contacted Booking.com, the hostel even tried to accuse me of stealing food, which was absolutely ridiculous. Booking reviewed everything, understood the situation and refunded me. I’m honestly shocked that a place like this is still operating. The staff member working the night of November 28–29 should not be working with guests at all. This place felt completely unprofessional and unsafe. My advice: stay far away from this hostel. There are much better and safer options nearby.

We ended up checking out early because of how bad it was. The room had a horrible stench. In the morning, the water in the sink in the girls bathroom was black. There were bed bugs, and we had to put our own sheets on the bed. My friend and I booked together to be in the same bunk but another person took it so we were separated. There was no soap in the bathroom. The location was far from the center. Do not stay here if you value cleanliness and convenience.

Nous sommes malheureusement tombée dans une chambre avec des punaises de lit. Nous avons été piquée plusieurs fois . Et avons décidé de quitter au bout de 2 nuits (au lieu de 4). Les douches et WC sont bien séparées homme/femme mais les vitres transparentes des douches nous ont fortement dérangées. Aussi le fait que la cabine de douche soit très limitée, il n'y a pas de quoi poser même un gel douche,ou accrocher sa serviette. Ce n'est pas pratique de poser par terre, ou de laisser à l'extérieur sur le banc. À moins d'être à 2 et se relayer. La climatisation fait un bruit infernal dans la chambre et s'active automatiquement quand on ferme la fenêtre. Le personnel n'est que très peu aimable, il faudrai donner une caution ou payer pour avoir un sourire là aussi... Quand nous sommes arrivées pour le check in nous avons eu aucun sourire et la dame a été assez sèche. Sauf un jeune homme qui m'a servi le petit déjeuner le jeudi matin , je ne sais pas son prénom, mais il a été serviable et accueillant. Nous étions arrivées à 15h mais la chambre était encore en "travaux" de la peinture à priori car mon amie a retrouvé sa veste tachée de peinture blanche. Et pendant l'attente (15min) en réception on ne nous a rien proposé à boire etc. La dame a remit ses écouteurs et on ne savait pas qui allait venir nous chercher et quand. C'était plutôt froid. Pour finir, l'auberge est bien située à proximité des transports en communs. Nous ne recommandons pas spécialement , les photos ne montrent pas toute la réalité de l'établissement. Et méfiez vous des punaises de lit... C'est un calvaire à s'en débarrasser en retour de voyage !

BED BUGS We booked one night because we had an early flight and wanted to sleep for 3 hours. We found bed bugs in the room and the receptionist told us he cannot give us a refund and when we asked to wait in the reception for the few hours, he played the music very loudly because “it is prohibited to sleep in the lobby” although we were just trying to rest on the dining table and weren’t sleeping. They seem to be used to that kind of problem and do nothing about it. He told us we will never get a refund because “from experience they never give refunds for bedbugs problems”. He didn’t give us the manager’s email or contacts and gave us a generic email. Not only did we have a hygiene problem but also the staff is extremely rude and unhelpful.

BED BUGS! Be careful, you shouldn’t go for this hostel. We found bed bugs in the 4 beds dorms. It didn’t seem like an issue to the personnel, he offered us another room as if he was used to hearing it often. We wanted to spend a couple of hours before our flight, he said it’s not allowed to stay in the reception but he let us stay at the end without sleeping. Service and rooms might seem good but this is not the reality.

DON’T BOOK THIS HOTEL !!! BEDBUGS ALERTTTT !!!! We have arrived and checked in Few hours later, we discovered bedbugs in our room , we called the person in charge , he told us he has no guarantee that there is no other bedbugs in the other rooms as well, told us we can’t wait for our taxi in the lobby and put high music to make us go away !! So rude, so not professional and apparently they are used to it , we found more comments about bedbugs which means that they had the same problem for at least one month and did nothing about it

BED BUGS! That could be a 5⭐ review, but in result it gets 1. We stayed in a quadruple room for 2 nights and I was bitten by bed bugs. So, my vacation started with itching, allergic reaction and scratching. I had to visit a doctor and re-plan my stay. I reported to the reception after the first night and since they were fully booked and couldn't change the room, they assured us that they cleaned everything with a special spray. However, I got bitten again, immediately came to the reception and reported again. On the next day I asked about a refund, as I had to visit a doctor and change my plans. Today I got a reply, they didn't find any bed bugs and I must been bitten somewhere else. It's just miserable. We were supposed to stay there for one more night at the end of our vacation, of course we will not. So now, we have to find a new place for stay and to pay extra, since I booked this hostel in July (for September). And now it's impossible to find something good for the same money. Don't stay here if you don't want to be bitten by bed bugs. Must say, the reseptionist were nice. But in result it doesn't change anything.
