Wild Wild West Backpackers' Hostel

This place has bed bugs when I first stayed people smoking weed and workers getting drunk. I would never stay there again. They had a dog full of fleas.

It was a dirty environment when I first walked in. Dishes in the sink and kitchen was filthy. The bathrooms also were pretty run down. Half of the people staying were what I assumed homeless in some capacity or in between living situations and other half were traveling. I met some amazing people and we had a great time but I probably would not stay here again. Three people complained of bedbugs in the same bunk so check your beds before you sleep or stay. Also a dog stays inside. Just Be aware.

I was eaten by bed bugs. Then management tried to say I brought them in but other people I work with stay here and they all have been bitten as well. Management does not care. The kitchen was discussing, all kinds of trash in the back yard. They refused to make restitution.

My bunk was infested with bedbugs. I met some amazing people and overall had a good time but I feel I need to warn others… I was the only person in the room effected (except maybe Marie who was sleeping underneath me) but if you do decide to stay - CHECK YOUR BUNK FOR BUGS!!!

I've stayed a few times to give it a chance.Not all bad but it does have somethings bad about it.1. When you call to check in they say they will meet up with you later and then run your credit card without permission later on if you aren't there when they show up after you tell them you have to be somewhere at a certain time.They charge exter 2 bucks to pay with credit card.charge to use towel to shower in which is surpost to be funished.Staff gets in your business of what you going to do. I had made plans with people and he comes in and changes them so he can get money to take us when I have a truck and then ask if I'm going when it was my idea to begin with.the beds you never know who has a bed because sheets are left in bed with plastic so you are sleeping on a bed with dirty sheets and possible bed bugs .Staff don't assign beds so don't know if someone in bed or not .I enjoyed the other travelers but staff need to bud out of other people bussness and they ask you to help make other people's bed and mess with your stuff and watched staff eat other people food from frig.I tried to call and stay today due to all hotels full for ou Texas game and told would call me right back when I was already there and seen had room and he never did.I got sick last week with strep throat sleeping on a dirty bed.ive stayed in hostel in Austin and they assign number bed, give you clean sheets and towel and tell you places you can go but stay out of your buss and you do what you want.i am law enforcement and I'd only stay here if it's last choice.I agree with last girl Staff did go into ladies rooms too much and it made them uneasy but most being from another county don't say anything to them.I been texted and called for two weeks asking me to remove my post because it could hurt bussness and all I did was tell the truth about what happens and what people talked about while there.I shouldn't have to be harassed because I tell the people around the world this hostel sucks.centey inn off northwest hwy and 35 is like 5 miles away pay 50-55 bucks so 20-25 bucks more and have room to self ,have who ever u want wifi,frig mac wave ...id rather pay exter 20 and right by bars and strip club eating places movies so it's a better choice .
