Hotel Olas

We felt completely catfished by this hostel. The photos are very outdated – the place looks not like advertised and is extremely run-down. The restaurant and breakfast mentioned in the description/photo no longer exist. Our room was dirty, with empty beer cans left around the entire time. The kitchen and fridge were also disgusting. To make matters worse, I got bed bug bites during our stay. Overall, very disappointing and not recommended. For what is offered, the price is far too high.

Muy mala experiencia. La Primera noche habían chinches (¡BED BAGS!) en las camas y por todas partes. Solicite que me cambien de pieza y al tercer día en la pieza nueva, nuevamente habían chinches. Muy sucio todo. Y el trato del personal muy malo había un señor italiano y el administrador que también era extranjero, con muy mal trato. Lamentablemente me tuve que cambiar de hostal. El aire acondicionado solo funciona de 10 de la noche a 10 de la mañana. Lamentable experiencia, por favor no se queden en este

Alhoewel het lijkt op de fotos alsof het een fijn, ietwat simpel hostel is, is dat het zeker niet! De badkamers staan bijna zwart van de schimmel, de airco stinkt naar heel oud vocht, de keuken is piepklein en de bedden verouderd (plus bedbugs, die krijg je er gratis bij). Verder wordt het gerund door twee heren, waarvan de een iedereen behandelt alsof ze oliedom zijn. Dit is echt de eerste plek waar ik mij totaal niet op mn gemak heb gevoeld.

Die Unterkunft scheint auf den ersten Blick okay.Jedoch war das Personal von Anfang an genervt und man hatte bei Fragen stehts das Gefühl, dass man störe. Ebenfalls stellten wir am ersten Abend fest, dass es Bettwanzen im Zimmer hatte. Die Reaktion auf diese Feststellung war unter aller Sau! Einer der Mitarbeiter meinte zu mir ich solle mich entspannen & das könne nicht sein und die seien von draussen und wir hätten das Fenster nicht öffnen dürfen! ( Bettwanzen reisen/übeleben nur in Textilien!)

rundown and feels pretty neglected. spotted bed bugs on my first night , moved to another room and was okay but still not impressed by lack of urgency by owners. front door is wide open all day and most doors don’t lock properly, doesn’t feel too secure. no bar, activities or anything. does the job for a budget hostel but don’t know why it has so many rave reviews as it is an average to poor hostel. only redeeming qualities are the lovely volunteers and nice deck backing onto the sea. i wouldn’t bother unless you are on a budget

Bedbugs!

Cheap and cheerful, unfortunately bed bugs showed up in room 16 in night 2...... management argued the point..... I left for a new hotel after 3 nights. For $55 single it's good value minus the bugs.
