Etwas außerhalb von Ella. Kein Hostel in dem man sich wohlfühlt, es riecht modrig, die Einrichtung ist sehr steril, es gibt keine Vorhänge also wenig Privatsphäre, kein social hostel, das Personal ist nett aber auch nicht wirklich herausstechend. Ich habe dort bed bugs bekommen, nachdem ich das Hostel darauf aufmerksam gemacht habe meinten sie nur das kann nicht sein, sie haben keine bed bugs

Vibe Analysis
Bunk Station Hostel sits right by the trailheads for Nine Arch Bridge and Little Adam's Peak, with Ella town usually a 10-25 minute walk away. It works best for a quieter Ella base where sunrise hikes, nearby restaurants, and a bit of distance from the main strip matter more than being in the thick of the bar scene. Breakfast is included and is one of the more reliable strengths: eggs, toast, fruit, coffee or tea, with occasional extra-helping energy rather than tiny hostel rations. The staff can be warm and useful with transport, tours, bus times, tuk tuks, laundry, and local route advice, though help with information has not been perfectly consistent. The building can feel clean, spacious, and calm, with big dorms, lockers, hot showers, key-card doors, indoor and outdoor chill space, bean bags, games, books, yoga mats, and a common area that can work for remote work thanks to strong Wi-Fi and Starlink. The social level is variable: breakfast can spark conversation, but this is not a dependable party or meet-everyone setup.
Signals to check
- Dorm beds usually do not have curtains, so privacy is limited.
- The sink inside the dorm can wake the room at night, and the key-card door can beep or make noise.
- Rooms can get hot or stuffy, with fans rather than reliable AC.
- Musty smells, dampness, mold, ants, cockroaches, geckos, and a clogged sink have all been raised as room-level issues.
- Blanket hygiene, bathroom deep-cleaning, socket access, power problems, and laundry mishaps may be worth checking on arrival.
- A bed bug issue may be a serious but isolated risk; inspect the bed before settling in.
- The walk back from town can feel less ideal at night, especially solo, so a tuk tuk may be the better call after bars.
