Blanco Beach Bar

We found what appeared to be bed bugs in our room and woke up with multiple bites after staying here. Staff did move quickly to inspect, but it was still a pretty stressful experience while traveling. Just something future guests should be aware of.

bed bugs!! Group of people we were staying with found bed bugs in their room and were waking up with bites all over them. Rooms also have no curtains and bathroom situation is far less than ideal. Other then that location was okay- right on the beach so the tide comes up right to the “front door” of the hostel and for half the day your feet will get wet coming and going from the hostel. Would say look elsewhere :)

Séjour très décevant dans cette auberge. Dès mon arrivée, plusieurs points problématiques sont apparus. J’ai malheureusement été piqué par des punaises de lit, ce qui est totalement inacceptable. Lorsque j’en ai informé le personnel, celui-ci a nié toute responsabilité au lieu de prendre la situation au sérieux. L’intimité est quasi inexistante : aucun rideau autour des lits. De plus, de la musique était diffusée jusqu’à 2h du matin alors qu’il n’y avait pratiquement personne, rendant le repos impossible. L’état général laisse vraiment à désirer : des lits avec du sable dedans, aucune poubelle dans la chambre, et une climatisation réglée à 17°C en permanence, ce qui est inconfortable et peut facilement rendre malade. Enfin, les sanitaires étaient dans un état déplorable. Les toilettes et les douches étaient sales et mal entretenues. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet établissement.

tne staff was not friendly at all, someone stole my towel and they were mad at me for asking for another. my room had no curtains and black mold, i am pretty sure i got bed bugs from it as well.

Loud music until late even when the bar is completely empty. No curtains on the beds. Air con in the rooms is off all day and on all night so was freezing trying to go to sleep. Beds are uncomfortable. Woke up with my face completely covered in bed bug bites. Do not stay here.

You will not sleep here before 3am. Your bed will vibrate to the base it’s that loud. The rooms are also really sandy, you are on the beach at the end of the day, and there were bed bugs in my bed. The staff were lovely though and it’s a decent location, but don’t stay here if you want any sleep, becaus you get woken up around 10:45 by staff for those in your room who need to check-out.

Do not stay here!!! I stayed here for 3 nights over 3 weeks ago (currently in Vietnam) myself an 2 friends all got bed bugs!! The rooms were constantly sandy, bathrooms were dirty and smelly, the music doesn’t turn off until 2am so beds are basically shaking, AC is regulated and freezing!! They only give you a thin blanket and beds are rock solid!! Good location as right on the beach. Would not stay again, great social hostel but you don’t need to stay there to socialise :/

Great nightlife and social hostel for backpackers. The music goes on until 2am & the rooms are constantly sandy. We also had bedbugs in all of the beds in our dorm. Staff were friendly & helpful.

Bed bugs and centipedes, checkout hard fast at 11 am, they keep your passports, and staff is rude. Washroom cum bathroom tiny and dirty.

Good for a party hostel but will give you bed bugs and is very rundown

The staff were lovely. But I would advise to come here to party but not stay. We have been bitten by what looks like bed bugs. The mattress had mould on and the beds were full of sand. The showers and toilets were disgusting, our room was next to the toilet and there was such a foul smell. Would definitely recommend the boat party.
