Kona Beach Hostel

Great hostel and location! Super beautiful views and very friendly people. I very much enjoyed my stay here. We did a lot of last minute changes (due to weather issues and dive conflicts), Sally was super helpful and accommodating! We stayed in three different private rooms with ZERO issues of uncleanliness or bed bugs. Lol there's definitely mosquitoes, but at no fault of the hostel. Very glad to have found such nice and reasonable accommodations on the Big Island!

BED BUGS!! absolutely disgusting, appeared clean at first glance but me, my wife and my inlaws were covered in bed bugs bites. When I asked for a refund I was told by Sally to prove the bites happened there.

Problems with this booking before i even got to the hostel. The hostel is in a good location - close to the beach, bus and strip. It needs some work doing on it if im honest - our room was underneath the hostel itself - we had a aircon unit which looked like it had mould in it. There was something scratching/biting in the wall to get into the room which meant i could not sleep. Not sure if i had bedbugs as i have a cluster of bites that are like a blister.
