Apartamentos CarlosV
Vibe Analysis
Apartamentos CarlosV is all about location and space: large apartments right by Alcudia's old town walls, close to bars, restaurants, markets, bus stops, and public parking. It works best as a practical base for exploring the historic center rather than as a social hostel scene. The better units feel roomy, clean, and good value, with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, lift access, and sometimes a balcony, view, washing machine, or laundry access. Kitchen setups vary a lot, though, and can be very bare: kettle, coffee maker, sponge, dish soap, extra trash bags, and proper cooking tools may be missing. The building has a dated-apartment feel outside the renovated bathrooms. Self check-in is done by machine, which can be smooth but can also be slow or frustrating, and there is usually no staffed reception on site. Main risk zone: maintenance. Drain smells in bathrooms are a recurring problem, and noise from lift doors, corridors, street bins, markets, or nearby work can affect sleep. Hot water, plumbing, air conditioning, heating, windows, and kitchen condition seem inconsistent by unit.
Signals to check
- No real hostel atmosphere; this is more of an apartment base.
- Self check-in can be awkward, with limited in-person help on site.
- Bathrooms may have drain smells, and hot water can be unreliable.
- Kitchen equipment can be too basic for proper cooking.
- Noise and dated fittings may be an issue depending on the apartment.
