Casa Micol

We liked the location. It is nearby everything and especially with heavy tramping bags. The inital receptionist was kind to us and friendly. He let us keep our bags there all day before checking in. We did some research and we were expecting to be sent across the road to Casa Micol, the sister partner hostel of Veneto Hotel. The building and rough around the edges as you would expect in relation to the cost of this room in central Florence. We did read other reviews about bed bugs, we checked thoroughly through the bedding and mattress. We did find some evidence of dead beg bugs, but no alive ones. We slept in our sleeping bag liner just in case for extra protection. The bathroom is very small. Going to the toilet whilst navigating around the sink is a funny moment. You do have to walk through a wet room like shower to go to the bathroom so wear your jandals. We rolled with it though and slept fine in a comfortable bed. I still think the Hotel Veneto needs to make clear on booking.com that the photos do not represent what guests will face on their stay. Thank you.

Nothing Very dirty. The mattress needs changing, stained all over, and there were even bloodstains on the sheets - no doubt because of the bedbugs others have complained about. Luckily we'd seen the comments before arriving, so we kept an option to go back to our previous accommodation in case - which we ended up doing. The owner wasn't even surprised when we refused the room! No doubt it happens a lot - but some aren't lucky enough to have that possibility.

location is good . private bathroom always flood after showing, water not go down . the worst thing is there are bed bugs, we stay for 2 nights, first night we thought that’s mosquitoes, but the 2nd night, it’s horrible bite me whole body included my toe . everyone must careful . attached pictures

The worst room I have ever been in. An absolute disgrace. Unclean, bed bugs, smelling like corpse, bathroom not working, no air conditioning, filthy sheets. Feels like a fraud. I would not recommend for anyone. The only living things in this messy environment who thrive are bed bugs. Not for a human.
