The Freezer is a converted fish factory turned hostel, bar, theatre, and music space on the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Its best trick is the cultural-center setup: live music, theatre, film nights, instruments, board games, books, and a big lounge with couches give it much more personality than a standard place to sleep. The social areas are the main event. There are communal kitchens, shared bathrooms, dorms, private rooms, campervan parking, and room for self-catering, with a warm, scrappy, arty feel when the place is running well.
