It is best treated as a cheap, oddball stopover for flexible backpackers, hikers and ferry people who care more about location, price and strange local energy than polish. The roof terrace is the standout: it sits close under the cliffs and gives the place its main sense of place. Inside, the old pub-style common area can be social, with pool, chess, board games, books, TV, local characters and a laid-back staff presence when things are working well.
