ATTENTION: BED BUGS HERE Nice crew, beautiful rustic styled room with gorgeous paintings, but it was deserted compared to other hostels of old city and later we realized it was due to bed bugs which was too late :/

Location brilliant but only good thing I have used hostels for over 30 years and have stayed at some truly dire ones and this is certainly one of those Awful bedbugs and staff just said “We know” No security whatsoever; no one on front desk and no locks on doors or lockers Toilets extremely small and dirty as were the showers but at least they were hot ( eventually ) In its day, I am sure that the hostel was excellent but it is now very old and tired and needs some basic investment No worth 3.

The staff is really kind BUT we got bed bugs , which we had to carry around for the rest of our trip. Really really nasty situation which had us incur a lot of additional expenses and stress.

Bedbugs

Guys, there are bedbugs in the room next to the WC on the 2nd floor. I found a couple of them on me and had to remove them. Unfortunately, some ended up in my own blanket, which I brought onto the plane, and I’ve been bitten by them as well.

🚨 WARNING: BED BUGS! 🚨 The place itself looks good on the outside as a “party hostel,” with good reggae music at nights but unfortunately, the management needs to do some seeeerious deep clean to welcome guests. The hostel toilet always stinks and I have never seen wooden planks on a shower partition before. It looks like it hasn’t been brushed for years and just makes it very unhygienic to step on it barefoot. On top of that, the bed bugs situation hasn’t been fully resolved as it has been going on since June (from Hostelworld) and I stayed in August. I hope the management has seriously resolved this problem. If you consider staying, please check the walls on the shared beds and your mattress as it has given me itches for more than a week now. Me and other guests had to leave in the middle of the night for this problem and I hope you won’t have to.

Something strange about this place and not in a good way. Beds were infested with bed bugs so i got destroyed!! They cleaned the rooms but obviously not well enough.. The vibe was off. Staff members judging me as soon as i walked in.Mostwerenice...othersnot. Toilets and showers were disgusting and lacked basic hygienic practices. Garden was cool and rooms were cozy - besides the bed bugs. Would not stay here again

I got bitten in bed last night, and I slept in my sleeping bag anyway. I'm afraid there are bedbugs in the bed. The room smells a bit musty. This place would be great if it were cleaner. I don't know about the other rooms, but the shared bathrooms also needed cleaning. And the rooms needed airing out.

This hostel has a severe bed bug infestation, which management is fully aware of yet continues to ignore while accepting new guests. That is unacceptable and puts people’s health at risk. Another guest had to leave in the night after finding bugs, and I was bitten all over as well. Many others have likely left sick and itchy. The high ratings are misleading. Avoid this place until they professionally and completely eliminate the infestation. Management must be held accountable for this negligenc

Do not go here, my bed had bed bugs! They ended up in my bag as well, I am still finding them. I hate it, I’ve been having nightmares of them still biting mess, I have been itchy for days. They didn’t even do anything, they told me I could get new sheets and I told them I needed a new bed & they moved me. No refund on the night or apology about it. The bathrooms were dirty, atmosphere was dead & they brought me to the wrong room when I arrived then 45 mins later made me move to the correct room

It was good value for money, cheap and in a great location. I liked the vibe with the music and the nice outdoor area to hang out in. There was just one night where the music was still playing after midnight, and also people playing basketball just outside the room which was very loud and disruptive to sleep. I also had fleas in my bed which was not ideal...

Nice location and atmosphere. But bathroom and rooms are not clean. Its noisy. It smells cat and I was bitten by insects (bedbugs???).
