Campos do Jordao · Brazil
Hostel da Montanha
Vibe Analysis
Pets may be allowed without an extra fee at Hostel da Montanha, a practical perk for anyone bringing a companion to Campos do Jordao. The place feels small, cozy, and homely, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, hot showers, decent towels and blankets, parking, and a few pleasant corners to sit around the property. The strongest draw is Dona Marli's hands-on hosting. Check-in can feel personal, with sightseeing tips, friendly help, and quick attention when something needs fixing. Location is another plus: it sits close to Capivari and the center, with easy access by car and the possibility of walking to several city attractions. This is more of a quiet, simple mountain base than a big social hostel. Breakfast ranges from simple to well served, depending on expectations, and cold-weather comfort can vary by room. When everything clicks, it works well for a clean, calm weekend in Campos with a warm host and easy logistics.
Signals to check
- Cold-weather setup may be inconsistent; heating and blankets may not be enough in very cold periods.
- Breakfast is simple and may feel limited for the price.
- Noise control may be inconsistent; one night included loud early-morning work near a room and loud conversation in common areas.
