I can understand having bedbugs: it is unfortunate, but it happens. what matters is how a place responds. when I told the reception, "hey there's bedbugs" and holding up my arm -- the first words out of the hostel workers' mouth were: "no there isn't." so while holding up my arm and pointing, showing the clear bedbug bites: "no there is" she said: "we will check. but we steam the beds each week." me: "..." "no, steam does not kill bedbugs. you need to use pesticide for bedbugs. pesticide." and then I left for the day. when I came back, nothing had been done. nobody followed up. I went downstairs to the main lobby - where the smell of cigarettes was more than the room (they do have a sign saying that it is banned in the room, but people still smoke) since everyone sits outside on the balcony and smokes, and it drifts inside into the lobby - and looked the lady in the eyes who was busy outside watching a tv show on her phone, and she just absent mindedly looked at me, and then returned back to looking at it. I saw her in the shared bathroom later and said "hey were you the person I spoke to about the bedbugs?" and she said, sort of shocked and caught off guard, "oh yeah just clear your stuff out of your bunk and you will need to wash all of it on high heat and we will check" and I said "so can I get like a free laundry or something for it" and she said yes. so I did it the next morning. I spoke to the reception guy in the morning and he said: "have you paid for the laundry." and I said "no haha I'm the bedbug guy" and he said "oh okay" and gave me two free laundry tokens for the machine. while it was washing, I asked for a new towel so that I could have a shower while the laundry was going, and he said "we will make an special exception for you this time." -- omg thanks guys!! yeah sure, there is not much you can do about bedbugs; apart from taking preventative measures like most hostels do, where you need to close the hostel for a night, every month, or at the most every month and a half, and then fumigate the entire place. but, perhaps you could say "oh my god that is so bad" and offer to compensate them for a day or two. or perhaps believe them, or perhaps care at all. well, they do steam the beds every week. so, by the time you stay there, probably nothing has changed; perhaps you'll get the bedbug suite! :)

Cockroaches in the pods and mattresses with bed bugs. My friend’s arm was bitten all over and when asked the staff said that there are no bed bugs and that they steam the mattresses. Toilets were lacking toilet paper often and the pod smelled funny. Terrace is nice to look out at night! Not much else to say

Seriously…. I don’t understand these good reviews. We booked 2 nights but broke up after one. At least the staff was super nice and very helpful. So no complains on that. Also the bed was kind of comfy. Other than that it was the worst hostel ever. There are cockroaches everywhere. Even in the bed pods. The bathroom is not clean at all and there is always water all over the place. The whole hostel does not look like the pictures. There is peoples stuff everywhere lying around. It looks extremly dirty and messy. It was very disgusting. In the dorm itself it is way too hot at night. Honestly, book this place if you want to make friends with cockroaches and bed bugs and have a really hard time. Never again!

The DIRTIEST place I have ever seen! BED BUGS, COCKROACHES and many other things! Hygiene doesn’t not matter for them! Everyday new victim with bedbugs and they act like they dont know! And when they hear you speaking about it they tell you go out of the hostel! Now they kicked out 4 or 5 people since I came because they spoke about it

BED BUGS!!! We had bed bugs in the pods and are still waiting for the refund for the last night because it wasn’t possible to sleep there. The bathroom is dirty and the floor is always wet. The only positive thing about this stay were the nice hostel workers.
