really weird vibes & left with a good few bed bug bites... no one who works there is actually on site its all self service. it also seemed like there were people living there, the lady in my room would lock herself from the inside in the AM to get ready so i couldnt get in. theres only one bathroom in a joint room so if someone is showering you cant even use the toilet/brush your teeth. says free tea and coffee which there is but then no kettle/hot water or cups. no where to lock your stuff.

Vibe Analysis

Co.Living Hostel Bandar is a bare-bones budget base in the center of Bandar Seri Begawan, useful mainly for walking to Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, the waterfront, Kampong Ayer boats, the bus terminal, shops, and cheap food nearby. The location is the real win here; the hostel itself is more functional than polished. One combined toilet and shower serves the whole place. That shapes the experience more than any decor or price perk: queues can happen, the room can stay wet, and using the toilet is impossible while someone is showering. The setup leans self-service, with WhatsApp check-in, door codes, and sometimes cash-box payment. There is a small common area with tables, free filtered water, Wi-Fi that can be good, and a basic kitchen or pantry setup, though washing dishes may mean using the bathroom sink. Beds may have curtains, plugs, lamps, and AC, but dorms can feel cramped and bunks, floors, mattresses, and blankets are inconsistent. Pick this only if location and price matter more than comfort, service, or social energy. It can work for independent travelers passing through Brunei for a short city stop, but it is a rough choice for anyone who needs reliable reception, strong hygiene basics, quiet sleep, or a roomy dorm.
