Bed bug reports

The staff were super nice. However, there were a lot of insects in the room. Spiders and bed bugs. The cleanliness could be improved definitely. Please check all beds for spiders and bed bugs before travellers arrive.

The vibe of the place is awesome. It has a nice pub and you can rent bikes here, also store your own. The problem was that there were bedbugs in multiple rooms whuch was a bummer.

Vibe Analysis
Hullam Hostel is a basic, family-run place near Lake Balaton, with easy access to the beach, train station, grocery shop, places to eat, and the pier. It seems best for a cheap, simple stop in a quieter part of Balaton rather than a polished hostel setup. The strongest upside is the human side: staff can be warm, helpful, and practical, with local advice, good English, and small acts of care. The atmosphere can feel homey and relaxed, with a nice pub, chill music, and fair bar prices. Bike rental and bike storage are available, which makes the hostel useful for lake days, small hikes, and touring through the area. Secure motorcycle parking may also be available. There is an outdoor kitchen, though it appears small and may not always be clean. Expect a low-frills stay. Some rooms can be hot, power sockets may be limited, and basic comfort varies a lot.
