Bed bug reports

Confirmed Google Maps
Stayed in a cabin at Zostel Plus Kempty and unfortunately had a really bad experience. The bed had bed bugs, and I got multiple bites overnight. The itching was intense and made it impossible to sleep properly. This is a serious hygiene issue that needs immediate attention. I hope the management takes proper pest control measures before assigning these cabins to other guests. Would not recommend staying here until this is resolved.

Vibe Analysis
A gentle stream runs through Zostel Plus Mussoorie (Kempty), giving the place a proper mountain-cabin calm with water sounds at night and nature close enough to feel built into the property. The setting is offbeat and green near Kempty Falls, with mountain views, tree houses, creative design, cozy common areas, and plenty of space to chill. The hostel can be surprisingly social for such a remote spot, with daily activities, guided walks, hikes, treks, and a secret waterfall trip adding structure without killing the relaxed vibe. Clean rooms, spacious dorms, comfortable beds, and a helpful staff team show up as real strengths, and the in-house cafe is a useful anchor for longer downtime. The crowd can be a mix of backpackers, remote workers, solo travelers, and friend groups, so it suits both slow nature days and easy meet-new-humans energy.
Signals to check
- The location is remote and away from central Mussoorie; a scooter can make getting around easier.
- Nights can get chilly, and heating may vary by room or season.
- Wi-Fi may be unstable in parts of the property.
- A tree house room may feel small, and one older bathroom issue involved a leaking WC.
